The festival of Gokulashtami is never complete without offering Gavvalu to Lord Krishna as it is believed that it is one of His favourite snacks (after all, He bears a conch shell). Made with rice flour, rava and maida, the dough is mixed with chilli powder and shaped to resemble shells before being deep fried in oil for a crispy, crunchy finish.
