Origin
The origin of the sweet may be traced back to the late 19th century when the country’s first rail tracks were being laid between Mumbai and Lonavla. The brainchild of Maganlal Aggarwal, the confection made of peanuts, jaggery and ghee was created as a nutritious yet affordable snack to keep the railway construction workers energized. The popular sweet has come a long way since then, and has many interpretations today.

Shelf-life & Storage
Each chikki square in the Anand Assorted Chikki Box comes wrapped in its own plastic foil to keep it crisp and aromatic. The shelf life of the contents is 6 months from date of manufacture. Store the box in a cool, dry place.
