Description
Pooranam Boorelu, also known as Sugeelu, Suguntalu, and Purnalu, is a traditional deep-fried sweet dumpling, known to have originated in Andhra Pradesh and is popular across South India. Boorelu is considered an auspicious delicacy as it is representative of fullness, prosperity, and joy. That is why the Sankranti celebrations, when the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana welcome the harvest, are never complete without it. The perfect Boorelu has a crisp exterior and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth interior, just like we make it at Vellanki Foods! We also make mouth-watering Bobbatlu, a cousin of this jaggery-and-coconut-filled delicacy.
